This Weeks Author Spotlight

IS ON AUTHOR Cindy Oldham

Cindy Oldham has been writing fiction, nonfiction, and doing freelance work for over fifteen years. Ms. Oldham has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration. Throughout her life she has been in leadership postitions within her church, in the political arena, for a national writer's organization and nonprofit government programs. She lives in the Central Florida area with her husband and is surrounded by her daughter, son, daughter-in-law and grandson.

As a child, Cindy’s life wrapped itself around the neighborhood, family, friends, church and school. Play was with toys that worked on imagination. Family rules were obeyed. Church attendance was observed and the family spent time together growing, creating memories and learning to be respectful of each other and their feelings.

A quote from Cindy Oldham...
“I've always been a storyteller as well as listened to my parents tell stories about their early lives. I've dabbled in poetry and then in college I discovered putting dialogue to my narratives and knew I could put my storytelling into book forms. I enjoy writing and listening to others stories about their lives and how they relate to them.”

Whitney in Charge - Review by Martha A. Cheves, Author of Stir, Laugh, Repeat

"You've
got all kind of kisses, right? There's the routine kiss. It's a quick
brush on the lips when one or both of you are leaving for work or going
some place. Usually there's brief eye contact with it so it makes it a
bit meaningful. And there's an absentminded kiss, which is in a
separate category from the routine kiss because the giver isn't awa… Continue

My Desk, Three Months Before Deadline

Even the dog bed is askew. Pictures of my characters. Manuscript pages everywhere. Almonds to snack on. Hand lotion for my weary fingers. My singing stuffed warbler, sent to me by a reader, sits in front of my printer. I can squeeze him whenever I need a bit of June in the midst of February. Thich Nhat Hanh calendar on the wall to keep me centered. And on my monitor, the steps leading from my condo to the beach. Yeah.

Warning: This sight will only worsen in the next few
