Getting permission for quotes
I am just about to go to print with my book, but I have major challenge. It has come to my attention that I may have an issue with quoting other books or people. I am using this as a vehicle to promote their books, but I may still get myself in hot water.
I have started looking at the websites of various publishers to approach them about this. One company sent a nice email back, out lining what I need to do. Another has not responded at all. The third has indicated on their website that if I don't have a publisher, they will not even consider my request. I am self publishing, and already have my ISBN, but have not established myself as a publishing company.
So, any advise as to what to do about 1) getting permission and 2) how I would go about creating my own publishing company.

I would like to know the answer to that!! My book is full of quotes and it just went for print!!
