I've seen the discussions on favourite books and authors but I'm wondering how many are authors here?

I know that Ken is and I enjoyed the chat today and I know that Debra is - she invited me. Would love to find out the others and whether you write fiction or non-fiction.

HI!

I'm Barb Passaris, and I write adult historical fiction. I've got one publishing credit through a small professional press, but hope to have more...I'm thinking of branching into children's lit, because I'm a teacher. I'm writing one adult book that takes place in two time periods. It's kind of different. I've got some real interest in this one, so I'm happy about that. I'm also thinking of branching into kids' HF, with curriculum based people from history, putting a new twist on the way that it's introduced.

I love writing, but don't have enough time in which to do it, unfortunately....I think that most of us feel that way!

I am an ekphrastic poet, meaning that my poetry is inspired by visual art, namely my photographs. My first book is called "Trappings of the Years," named for a poem in the book. I did the same thing in naming my second book, "A Troupe In Masquerade," the proof of which should arrive any day now.

I am a six time author, however only once by a traditional publishing house. Five times I've self-published through Lulu.com - I only write fiction, but in a variety of genres. I favor paranormal mysteries with plenty of suspense and drama thrown in for good measure.

I have self published four books, two of commonsense reflections, a memoir of my nine years in the seminary and monastery and a novel about an abusive priest in search of redemption.
