About Me
I am a writer of suspenseful fantasy novels. I strive to keep my readers on the edge of their seats. As one reviewer of my novel Grayrider wrote

If you like dark, complex tales with magic and sorcery aiding both good and evil, this book is a page-turner. Through most of the story, there are few glimmers of light. The hero and heroine are challenged at every turn. However, romance, chivalry and heroism shine clearly throughout this tale, and make it a satisfying read.
My Published Books or Favorite Books
Grayrider

Below is one of the many Amazon reader reviews of Grayrider:

This is an entertaining fantasy, with a magic sword, battles, an evil sorceress, a princess... yet is not a cliche. The book jumps right into the action, intermingling action with thoughts and memories. Gabriel, known as Grayrider, is a king without a kingdom, and works to conquer the armies of Morrigan. He is aided by Princess Deirdre, who was an apprentice to Morrigan but leaves her to save her father and his kingdom.

The battle happens between armies, and also between Grayrider and Morrigan's bespelled humans. To further complicate matters, Deidre falls in love with Grayrider, and he begins to see her in a different way as well, wondering if he could love her.

The back and forth between the battles and military strategy, and the personal realizations and changes, makes Grayrider and Deidre interesting characters. And I love Windfire the magic horse! I hope there are other books with this land and these characters, I would definitely read them.

Robots and Vamps Review of Grayrider

In Mr. Skye’s first novel, Grayrider - Volume One of the Deathsong Chronicles, Gabriel prince of Rivalin, is thrust into the battle of his life. Years after his parents were killed by the Ansgarians in a plot to take over his land, Gabriel seeks justice. The Ansgarians are a legion of warriors who appear to be made out of some sort of tree bark. They are ruthless; they show no fear and they fight to the death.

Gabriel the Gray, aka Grayrider, has been out on his own fighting these forces… Continue

Grayrider Reviews

Ten reader reviews of my recently released fantasy novel Grayrider are now on Amazon. Several are listed below.

A reviewer named Aisling wrote the following:

Fans of sword-and-sorcery adventures and fantasy novels will enjoy this book. It is fast-paced with intricate story lines, and a depth familiar to students of Celtic lore and history.

Written in a style reminiscent of Tolkien's "The Two Towers," the reader is swept into the story from the first page. This is a tale with good and e… Continue
