- Darden North has written and published three novels, House Call (hardcover 2005, paperback 2007), Points of Origin (hardcover 2006), and Fresh Frozen (hardcover 2008). Points of Origin was recognized in Southern Fiction in the 2007 Independent Publishers Book Awards and House Call was a Mystery/Suspense Finalist in the 2008 New Generation Indie Book Awards. Both works were nominated in Fiction by the Southern Independent Book Association and the Mississippi Institute for Arts and Letters.
North lives with his family in Jackson, MS, where he practices medicine fulltime as an obstetrician-gynecologist.

"The next novel is vegetating inside my gray matter but, it will not descend to my word processing fingers, unless approached by a real traditional publisher. After wasting almost a year with a small "traditional" publisher who forgot to disclose that he was running out of money and after wasting another year with an agent who forgot to disclose that she hasn't made a sale yet, I self-published "terrO.R." Self-publishing is an interesting and unique experience and it will remain "unique" from all the points of view."
