I just finished an interesting book called The Truth (I’m a girl, I’m smart and I know everything) by Dr. Barabra Becker Holstein. It was a delightful little book about a girl who keeps a diary where she writes the truth, while leaving a fake diary around for her parents to find. This is a very short little book that delivers a big punch.

It is written in the form of a diary. The writer is a 12-year-old girl in an era before the big technology boom. There are
no cell phones or computers. It reminded me of when I grew up.
