My book is satirical at times, but it is a picture of the part of the country I am from. It has a serious message about the treatment of women and children during a time when they were pretty much seen as property, and you will quickly see that I hate hypocrisy, particularly when it involves religion.
When I was growing up in the Southern United States, there were many intense religious groups and fanatics like J. D. Parsons were pretty common. Even though EVERYONE wants to kill him, you have to admire his toughness. I talk about my past and my family on the author's page on my webpage, www.beaufortfalls.com . Click on everything on the home page that even looks like it might be a link. I come from a very unusual family.
