- Australian born author Neill Bartlett moved to America in 2001 after 2 years of research that took him beyond the dark streets of inner Melbourne & Sydney to the Outback town of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Studying the 'World's Oldest Profession' and combining many incredible lives and stories together with his own experiences of a life raised proudly as an adopted child together with the reunion with his birth family, his writings combined to produce his first novel 'Sisters Of Mercy'.

"Who could really fall into the 'World's Oldest Profession'?"
Is it just a question, or a reality?
In my novel 'Sisters Of Mercy', I take a regular housewife who is married with two children and ask this question. I take a Hollywood actress who journeys to the other side of the world to seek her birth mother and ask the same question. I take a young stripper and transport her to the outback town of Kalgoorlie and with some hard breaks thrown in, again ask the same question.
