Kaleidoscope Memories is a heart-warming collection of childhood memories written by three sisters which gave me a good feeling that I found refreshing. It is uplifting, amusing and light-hearted. I liked peeking in on this family with six kids. Parents could certainly learn some tips from these wonderful parents who were strict, but not mean and responsible but also fun loving. I especially liked the tales about the monster dog, the blanket trap, the family pets and napping with mama. Reading t…

ON A CLEAR night, the gleaming towers of Atlantic City casinos never looked as vibrant and alive as they did from 1,000 feet up, inside the cockpit of a plane approaching Bader Field.
Bader, a small airport that operated on a 142-acre parcel in Atlantic City's back bay for almost a century before closing in 2006, is practically in walking distance…

Here we go again!
Last year I asked you to put on your thinking caps to help me title my work-in-progress. Frequent commenter Denise came up with Secrets She Left Behind, which my publisher, agent and I all agreed was a winner. (Look for it in your bookstores on May 26th).
Now it's time to give the new book a title, so I'll give you a small peek inside the story (without giving anything away, I promise), and I'll tell you the titles I'm thinking about.
(Note: A while back, I told you the sett…

When Ervin Antonio Lupoe fatally shot his wife, five children, and himself on January 27th, it underscored just how serious and rampant today’s financial panic has become. Before he committed his tragic acts, Lupoe faxed a note to a TV station saying that he and his wife had planned the killings as an escape for the whole family because they were in debt and had been fired from their hospital jobs. It was the fifth mass murder of a Southern California family in the span of a year.
Chances are y…

Ok, don't laugh. There is a reason why I named the book that and it does have everything to do with what you think....
That said, let me give you an insight into my cookbook.
I began this book as a simple compilation of all the recipes that I had been handed over the years. I constantly had my older children calling me up, asking me the infamous "Mom, how do you make this?" or "There's something missing, mom". As a thought, I had decided to put all the recipes that the kids were always asking…

The Truth" is a newly discovered and a emotionally difficult fact.
Sincerely,
Rebecca
